Did you see the DeLorean Time Machine land in Atlanta?

By | Cars, Decor, Event Industry | No Comments

No, time machines are not on the market just yet, but the car from the Back to the Future movies was at the epic event we shot for a client.  It fit in perfectly with the futuristic and outer space décor during the event, which was held at the Georgia World Congress Center and the Georgia Aquarium.

Though the characters of the film, Marty McFly and Doc Brown didn’t blast in with the DeLorean, the audience was more than excited to see this year’s guest presenter, Shaquille O’Neal. During the Q & A session, some of the basketball legend’s fans jumped on the stage with him to take pictures, and one even did a quick rap with Shaq!

When that was wrapped, the audience was wowed by the ice carving group Fear No Ice, who put on an amazing demonstration for everyone.  After that, the surprise musical presenter, Matchbox Twenty set everyone on fire with favorite hits from their albums.

This year, their annual company meeting had a little twist to it though – it was a circus! No, really it was. A carnival was setup for a whole evening, complete with acrobats, sword swallowers and people on stilts! The Imperial Opa Circus just took the event to a whole new level.  See for yourself —

Is YOUR car bigger than a golfcart?

By | Cars, Corporate Events, Family Fun Day | No Comments

One of our big name clients held their Family Fun Day recently, and chose one of the coolest venues in the Atlanta region. Sometimes you have to go OTP (that’s “outside the perimeter” of the 285 interstate loop) to have a little fun. We headed south to Douglasville to play at Foxhall Resort and Sporting Club. What do they have that you might not be able to find in the big city? Let us show you…

Hay rides from a John Deere tractor…

…Paddling a canoe…

…and Horseshoes! As if that weren’t enough, they hosted a bunch of family friendly activities and entertainment from outside vendors.

You could get tattooed…

…Or check out a magic show…

…or get your groove on the dance floor (maybe it’s “Dance Lawn”?) with our DJ buddy Joel Rabe from Lethal Rhythms !

Granted all that activity is going to make you hungry and tired…thankfully, Foxhall has a beautiful patio area for you to sit and enjoy some delicious food, provided by Bold American. (You KNOW they’re one of our faves!)

Now you’re probably wondering, “I’ve had a sporting good time with a ton of different recreational activities here at Foxhall, and stuffed myself to the gills with delicious food, but what do I get to take home from all this family fun?” Well, check out the door prize…

…Just kidding! Had you goin’ for a second there, huh? Here’s a true story: Patrick’s (Boss-man) first car was a Porsche! In fact he still owns the exact car he used when he learned how to drive. However, when he’s on location for business he prefers to drive around in the Lunchbox. Wanna see?

Oh yes, that golf cart IS bigger than the official PWP Studio wheels! Serious business!

If you’re looking to host your next corporate fun day at a unique location with fantastic activities, then you should definitely head on down to Foxhall.

We had a blast hanging out with our client’s friends and family, and with all our favorite vendors. Bonus, we got to take amazing pictures of some really beautiful scenery– and we’re not just talking about that sweet ride! Just another great day at PWP Studio!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

200 Peachtree and 944…old school mixes with new school.

Being that the new event venue, 200 Peachtree, was previously the downtown Macy’s – it has a clear presence in the history of this fine city. Being that 944 Magazine, one of ATL’s hottest contemporary publications on the hip scene in the city, decided to host their big party at the hot new venue, and it was a flavorful collision of old and new. Lexus was a sponsor and there were cars parked all over the space; it felt like a cross between (the original) “Miracle on 34th Street” and next year’s “Fast and the Furious 8”.

It was a sight to see for certain- one I enjoyed immensely and one I was very blessed to be able to capture it on of behalf of the venue.

Did I mention I LOVE my fisheye lens?? Thanks to Frances for helping me capture thsi event!

Kinda like “Bond… James Bond…”, but more like “Studio… PWP Studio…..”

In our largest philanthropic effort of the year, PWP Studio sponsored the first annual NACE Gives Back Fundraising Events. Our team captured all the details, decor, food, and fun that happened at two fantastic events – the event fundraiser hosted by Banana Republic at Lenox and the actual Martinis and Miracles event at The Foundry at Puritan Mill. We helped raise thousands of dollars for Prevent Child Abuse Georgia, and set the bar for all future NACE fundraisers…and we had a BLAST doing it!!

Thanks to the planning committee (led by the fab Jennifer McDonnell), all of the sponsors that helped make this event such huge success, and my team – Kevin, Melissa, Angel, and Peter – for helping me capture these amazing events!!
