As we celebrate the arrival of a new year, I get a little nostalgic. Last year was full of highs for the PWP Studio team, and in order to duplicate our epic 50% growth, it’s important to look back at some of the amazing events, travels, and people that made it all possible.
Travel is part of the gig when you’re a jet-setting photographer, and our team is no stranger to packing up gear for events. Last year, photography took our team to Jackson Hole, Los Angeles, San Diego, Paradise Valley, Tallahassee, Nashville, Las Vegas, Colorado, and some of the most recognizable spots in Atlanta.
We’ve also partnered with a corporate incentive company for several years, and that has taken our team to many incredible places. The first part of the year, we traveled to Africa and went on an amazing safari.
Another perk to our profession – celebrities. We’ve had many an opportunity to hobnob with famous faces, and in 2014 we found ourselves face-to-face with the likes of Oprah, Bruno Mars, Martin Short, Steve Martin, Brad Paisley, Martina McBride, Jeff Gordon, and the Doobie Brothers. Although we maintain professional composure on the outside at all times, we squeal like little girls on the inside.
The Georgia Meeting Professionals International held their annual Phoenix Awards at The Georgia Aquarium, and titled it “Aquatic Fusion”. We were pleased to have documented this spectacular event, and were honored to be presented with an award for “Best Corporate Photography” at the 2014 Allies because of it.
Lastly, PWP Studio wouldn’t be anything without our amazing team. Along with our amazing photography team, last year brought us a new studio manager, Peter; Lauren, our fantastic editor; and a social media manager, Cortni. They are the behind-the-scenes of the studio – Peter handles new inquiries, requests, and manages the images and workflow. Lauren handles all of our images…making them even more spectacular with her gentle touch. Cortni is on the scene at GaMPI meetings as the face of PWP Studio when I’m not available, and manages our social media accounts. These three are the cogs that make the wheels of PWP Studio turn.
We wouldn’t be where we are without our talented team, and all of the amazing vendor partnerships we’ve established over the years. We look forward to another year of fabulous events, meeting new people, and celebrating relationships. Cheers to 2015, and all it brings our way.
