As an event photographer, I can tell you from first-hand experience: it is completely normal for companies to host themed events. In many cases, they will reinforce the event theme with specific decor, bands, costume requirements for the event staff and more – to complement the theme as you would expect. On the other hand, it is very rare for a corporation to encourage — if not almost require — employees and spouses to dress in their own personal interpretation of the event theme!! Even more rare is the corporation whose employees step up to the plate, take the bat, and knock the theme out of the park!!!
Just look at the size of the camera on that lady!! Lori’s roller skates were a high point!! Yes, she wore them all night long!
It was also a casino party, and there were lots of BIG winners – guess there was luck “in the water” that night!
PWP Studio provided roaming event photography coverage and a fun background for posed theme portraits. Thanks to Patrick and Gary for helping us capture this fun event!
